Comfortable stay with room for improvement

I had a chill night here. The room was cozy, and the pub had a nice vibe. the water pressure in the sink was barely a trickle, and the fish & chips for dinner were kinda disappointing. It was also a bit noisy outside, but the bar area was a great spot to unwind.

It was just an excellent fit for a flying visit in Bury St Edmunds with great value for the money. The room was stylish, clean, and had cool remote-controlled roof windows. Avoid room 1 if you’re sensitive to noise from an adjoining building.

The atmosphere was absolutely enchanting with a historic pub vibe and a cozy room that felt like a warm hug! I loved how our room had everything we needed, from a comfy bed to lovely décor that made our stay feel special. Plus, being so close to the beautiful Abbey and quaint shopping streets made it easy to explore and enjoy every moment!

my husband and I had a lovely stay at the fox. the room was charming with a vaulted ceiling and a beautiful chandelier. it was close to the town center, which made exploring easy. the staff went above and beyond, especially remembering our coffee preferences. the lattes were excellent!

We had a nice 1-night stay in a spacious room with a comfy bed and a cozy sofa. Loved the big bathroom and the tea and shortbread! The food was decent, but the fish & chips could use some work. a little noisy outside at night with folks passing by. Still, a charming place overall.

The highlight was definitely the meal at the pub, where the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The location is perfect, with a lovely walk to the nearby Abbey Gardens and town. it would be great if the in-room supplies like tea and coffee were replenished during the stay.
